Sometimes Pioneer Island

Sometimes Pioneer Island is a new bar that has opened in Oshkosh, Wisconsin near the shore of Winnebago. I was tasked with creating a drink menu for them so that their customers would be aware of their spirits, liquors, and beer. The bar is located on the water of Lake Winnebago and near a marina, so they encounter a lot customers arriving by boat to their location. I started the design with a tropical backdrop including several shapes of palm leaves as a pattern. I then used a wooden background on top of the previous backdrop to illicit the feeling of a wooden walkway to reinforce the beach atmosphere of the bar. I also used a bold sans-serif font for the main text since it gave a more casual and relaxing feeling for the bar. I also created a page for a QR code for customers to scan if the wanted to access a web version of the menu.
